Scream Queens?

So we all know what a scream queen is. Typically the definition for scream queen is a female who somehow survives a horror movie. She is the “good guy” in the gory genre. She is the fighter, the one who somehow outlives the big bad scary monster thing. Most times she is intelligent and a fast-thinker. Wikipedia claims that a scream queen is a female actor in the horror genre. She’s either a victim (often) or the hero/protagonist. A shining example of a scream queen would be Jamie Lee Curtis from the Halloween series. So you follow me, right? Well, VH1 has decided to add another definition to the already somewhat lengthy mix…

Scream Queens is a new reality show that VH1 is undertaking. Ten girls will compete on a reality show to win the honor of starring in a horror movie from Lionsgate Films. The girls will receive their acting tips from acting coach John Homa. There is no word yet on who will be directing the film that the lucky winning girl will star in. There will be 8 hour long episodes of Scream Queens. The show is set to debut this fall. I sincerely hope I’m not THE only one who is actually looking forward to this. Either this tv venture will horribly fail or it will awesomely succeed. Only one way to know…
