Alison Lohman: Possible Scream Queen?

So this week’s topic to discuss is Alison Lohman. I actually had to look her up on the Internet to find out who she is. That’s only because she has never done a horror movie. This May she plays the lead role of Christine Brown in Sam/Ivan Raimi’s Drag Me to Hell. In Drag Me to Hell, Christine is a loan officer who, by all appearances, has a good life. She has a decent job and is happy with her boyfriend, played by Justin Long. Only Christine has a turn in events, something that changes the rest of her life. Christine is a loan officer who is forced to evict an (harmless? hah!) old woman. She has no idea that the old woman is really a witch. The old woman then curses her and tells her that she will be going to hell in 3 days! Now Christine has to find a way to avoid going to hell, before it’s too late!

I am really psyched about this movie (anything Raimi does really) and can’t wait to see it! While I haven’t seen Alison in that much, I am also a fan of Justin Long. You might remember him as the brother in Jeepers Creepers (that movie still gives me the creeps!) as far as his horror movie credentials go. I’m hoping that his acting will help her acting and the movie will just kick some major ass. It’s been awhile since witches have actually been scary…at all. So my fingers are crossed on this one. Let me know what you guys think. Will this movie be worth it or just a major drag? (Lol)
