Possession

Jessica (Sarah Michelle Gellar) is not a woman you would call lucky by any normal means. While she is married (happily, I think), her husband Ryan (Michael It Landes) and his brother Roman (Lee Pace) were just involved in a horrible car accident. And now both Ryan and Roman are comatose. Jessica is obviously panicked and scared. The doctors all tell her that it is very unlikely that either of them will ever wake up again. But something unexpected happens…Roman wakes up and is absolutely convinced that he is Jessica’s husband and not her brother-in-law. makes no sense. It couldn’t be her Ryan, could it?

Now poor Jess is torn between wondering whether it could be true…that Roman could be Ryan. Or is something else going on? Will she find out what really happened? Will she be reunited with her husband Ryan, in his own body? Are you tired of me asking all these questions?

Then do us all a favor. Please, before you settle for some uninformed critic’s review on Possession (from those other sites!) go find out for yourself. Buy the movie ticket, sit in the theater, and watch the movie. Make your own decision and opinion on whether or not Mr. Michael Petroni did the original 2002 South Korean film Addicted any justice! I, for one, will happily see this movie. I have been a fan of SMG’s for a very long time. I loved her in I Know What You Did Last Summer, Scream 2, The Grudge 1 & 2, and the non-horror drama The Air I Breathe. I even got a kick out of her performances as Daphne Blake in the Scooby Doo movies from a few years back. But even more than that, I fell in love with her character Buffy Summers on the 8 season series Buffy: The Vampire Slayer. I think that if you ever liked any of her acting performances in shows or movies, you owe it to yourself to see this film. Like I said earlier, make up your own mind on this one. Then come back here and tell me what you thought!
